Keyword Rankings: Your Weekly App Store Search Scoreboard

Keyword Rankings is a new module in Visua that tracks how your iOS apps rank in App Store search, week over week, against your competitors, across five storefronts. It turns organic search from a channel you cannot see into a scoreboard you can act on every Monday.
Why App Store search is worth watching now
Paid installs keep getting more expensive. On iOS, game installs commonly run $4 to $6 depending on genre (Business of Apps, 2025), and every year ATT-driven signal loss makes paid targeting blunter. App Store search is one of the few acquisition channels that lost nothing to that signal loss. Every position you gain on a keyword you care about is an install you no longer pay for. That is why keyword rankings stopped being a vanity metric and became a competitive scoreboard that moves every week.
Visua is Leus Capital's creative and competitive intelligence platform for mobile studios. Keyword Rankings is its newest module.
What Keyword Rankings does
It tracks your chosen keywords for your iOS apps, week over week, against your tracked competitors, across the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and Brazil. Switch app, switch market, switch week, and every view re-scopes instantly. There are three views.
Overview: movement first.
The opening screen answers the only Monday-morning question that matters: what changed? A KPI strip shows keywords tracked, how many sit in the Top 10 and Top 50, your average rank with its weekly delta, your best mover, and your biggest slip. Below it, every keyword gets a row: a color-coded rank, a movement chip versus last week, a strength meter, a BRAND tag on branded terms, whoever currently owns #1, and an 8-week sparkline.

Keyword Detail: one term, full picture.
Pick a keyword and see your rank plotted against every tracked competitor over time, with the axis inverted so #1 sits at the top. Next to it, a share-of-search leaderboard lists every app ranking for that term in that market and week, with your app highlighted and rivals tagged.

Competitive Matrix: the whole battlefield.
Keywords as rows, your app and competitors as columns, every cell color-banded by rank with a movement chip. The gaps in your column sitting next to a rival's top-ranked cells are, quite literally, your target list for the next metadata update.

Why weekly, not daily
Daily rank data is mostly noise: algorithm jitter, Apple Search Ads bursts, day-of-week effects. Reacting to it produces thrash. Weekly snapshots filter the noise and surface the sustained moves that deserve a response.
| Daily tracking | Weekly tracking (Visua) | |
|---|---|---|
| Shows | Every wobble | Sustained moves |
| Risk | Reacting to noise, constant thrash | Clear signal, fewer false alarms |
| Best for | Live campaign spikes | Deciding what to fix next |
One design choice we want to be upfront about: trend charts stay locked until four weekly runs exist, roughly a month of history. Your ranks and week-over-week movement are visible from day one, but we will not draw a trendline through two data points. Bad charts create false confidence, and false confidence is expensive.

Frequently asked questions
What is Keyword Rankings in Visua? It is a module inside Visua that tracks how your iOS apps rank in App Store search for your chosen keywords, weekly, against your competitors, across five storefronts: the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and Brazil.
Which storefronts and platform does it cover? The United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Brazil, on iOS.
Why does it use weekly data instead of daily? Daily App Store rank data is noisy, driven by algorithm jitter, Apple Search Ads bursts, and day-of-week effects. Weekly snapshots filter that noise and surface the sustained moves that are actually worth acting on.
Why are the trend charts locked at first? Trendlines only appear after four weekly runs, about a month of history, so charts are drawn on real data rather than two points. Your ranks and week-over-week movement are visible from day one.
Who can use Keyword Rankings? It is currently available to Leus portfolio studios. If you are not a Leus studio, contact the team at leus.capital.
How is this different from a general ASO tool? Keyword Rankings lives inside Visua, next to your creative and competitive intelligence. It is built around weekly runs as its native unit of time, and it is scoped to the storefronts and competitors you actually track, so the picture stays relevant instead of generic.
